The design and analysis of a small antenna that can be used in wireless communication systems is presented in our research study. The antenna?s performance is optimized in terms of bandwidth, gain, and radiation pattern using a combination of electromagnetic simulation software Ansys HFSS. The suggested antenna is based on a microstrip patch antenna arrangement, which has a number of benefits including low profile, simplicity in manufacture, and low cost. This antenna has a T-shaped arm with two L-shaped arms on either sides forming a radiator which is excited by a microstrip feed line, printed on top of FR4 substrate material with a thickness of 2 mm on one side, while on the other side a partial ground plane is fixed. We have designed the rectangular printed monopole antenna for dual and triple band applications that include modern wireless applications such as wifi and bluetooth (@ 2,4 GHz), WLAN(@ 5.8GHz) and Wi-Max(@ 3.5GHz). Various research papers regarding topics including these multiband printed monopole antennas have been studied and a thorough literature survey has been presented in this paper.
