      abstract = {As computing is becoming ubiquitous and its methodology and application is resultantly making the world a global village; there is need for everyone to have the fundamental knowledge of both hardware and software. This technical paper has been able to expose and give room for self-training in basic troubleshooting. The research had focused on the hardware aspect. The objectives of this research was attained through observations, analysis and documentation during practical classes at the computer lab where faulty system was observed, isolated and different methods of troubleshooting was carried on to restore the system. The work here will go a long way in presenting the knowledge and application of basic troubleshooting approaches.},
