A Comprehensive Study on Investor Behaviour on IPO in Indian Stock Market

Abstract
The Indian stock market, known for its dynamism and resilience, is an important indicator of a country's economic health and growth. This study explores investor behavior in Initial Public Offerings (IPOs) within the Indian stock market, aiming to enhance understanding and provide insights for stakeholders and policymakers. By investigating the motivations and perceptions of IPO investors, the research sheds light on factors influencing investment decisions in this crucial market segment. Market players, regulatory bodies, and policymakers must understand investors' behavior in IPOs effectively to navigate this complex environment. In addition, the importance of GMP and its influence on investor sentiment and involvement, as well as the factors that drive investor preference for IPO investments. The ultimate aim of this research is to advance scholarly discussion and enable evidence-based decisions when it comes to investing in IPOs in the Indian market.
