Awareness of HPV Vaccines Among Women in Imo State Nigeria
Subject area: Science,Engineering and Technology · Area of research: Public Health
Abstract
Despite the proven efficacy and availability of the HPV vaccine, uptake remains suboptimal in many regions of Nigeria including Imo State. Studies have shown that lack of awareness about HPV and its vaccine is a significant barrier to vaccine uptake. Different regions of Nigeria have varying levels of awareness of HPV and willingness to vaccinate their girls. The aim of this study is to assess the awareness of HPV vaccine among women in Imo state Nigeria.
