Infection control remains a cornerstone of patient safety and public health, yet its implementation varies greatly across healthcare environments due to resource limitations, infrastructure disparities, and varying policy enforcement. This paper explores innovative and cost-effective strategies for infection prevention and control (IPC) that can be adapted to diverse healthcare settings, including low-resource hospitals, outpatient clinics, and long-term care facilities. Emphasis is placed on evidence-based practices such as targeted hygiene, antimicrobial stewardship, rapid diagnostic testing, telehealth-supported surveillance, and staff education programs. The integration of technology, behavioral interventions, and localized policies are analyzed to demonstrate scalable and sustainable approaches that reduce healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) without imposing significant financial burdens. This research offers a framework for decision-makers to prioritize interventions based on epidemiological risk, cost-effectiveness, and contextual feasibility—ultimately promoting equitable healthcare outcomes and improved global IPC standards.
