Abstract

This study examines the significant obstacles and strategic approaches concerning workforce development within aircraft maintenance firms in Clark, Philippines. As the aviation sector continues to grow in the area, the need for proficient maintenance staff has escalated, revealing deficiencies in workforce preparedness, training facilities, and talent retention. Utilizing qualitative interviews and industry assessments, the research highlights critical challenges such as skill deficits, restricted access to specialized training, and elevated employee turnover rates. Additionally, it investigates the strategies adopted by companies to address these challenges, including collaborations with technical schools, upskilling initiatives, and attractive incentive programs. The results emphasize the necessity for cooperative efforts among industry participants and educational institutions to establish a sustainable talent pipeline. This research seeks to offer practical recommendations for policymakers, educators, and industry executives to improve the skills and resilience of the aircraft maintenance workforce in Clark.
