Through real-world examples such as the Siemens FCPA case and the GE-Honeywell merger, the article provides actionable guidance for companies seeking to expand internationally. Emphasis is placed on proactive legal planning, compliance programs, and the strategic use of arbitration and mediation mechanisms to mitigate legal and operational risks.
