Evaluating Gender Diversity's Impact on Construction Projects and Teamwork: A Study on Female Site Engineers
Subject area: Science,Engineering and Technology · Area of research: Construction Projects
Abstract
This research will evaluate the impact of gender diversity on construction projects and teamwork, focusing on female site engineers. This study is important because it may help break down the traditional norms in the industry that perpetuate the gender divide and encourage a more inclusive work environment. According to Fulani (2023), recently, the role of diversity at work has become important. According to Carucci (2024), diversity within teams enhances creativity, problem-solving, and better decision-making. However, no good research study has been undertaken to date in relation to how gender diversity contributes to construction projects and teamwork. It aims to fill this gap by examining what input female site engineers give toward the results of the projects and dynamics of the teams.
