Since basketball's introduction in 1891, the factors influencing players' scoring ability have been a topic of discussion among enthusiasts and experts in the sport. Past research has identified various factors, including the distance from the basketball net, player height, field restrictions, footwear, and more. Despite efforts to improve players' scoring accuracy—such as extended training sessions and the integration of data-driven strategies—achieving consistent precision in scoring remains a significant challenge. This project aims to contribute to this ongoing discussion by investigating the impact of distance to the net and player height on scoring performance in basketball.
