Seasonal variation in Primary Productivity of Anarkali Lake, A Wetland of Bahraich (U. P.)
Subject area: Agriculture and Veterinary Sciences · Area of research: Zoology
Abstract
Seasonal variations in primary productivity (GPP and NPP) carried out during July, 2019 to June, 2020. Grass primary productivity (GPP) and net primary productivity (NPP) ranged between 0.22 - 0.82 gC/m3/hr and 0.15 to 0.51 gC/m3/hr, respectively. The maximum rates of production in summer months denote the higher values of light intensity, temperature and chlorophyll concentration. The minimum rates of primary production were observed during monsoon months.
