autism spectrum disorder (ASD) consists of a group of developmental disabilities which is characterized by deficits in social interaction and communication associated with restricted, repetitive and stereotypical behavioral patterns. Maladaptive behaviors, including temper tantrums, aggression, sleep disturbances, and defiance, are frequently observed in individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of individualized homoeopathic medicines in reducing the maladaptive behaviors in children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) using Autism Maladaptive Behavior Scale (AMBS). It is an Interventional Study-Before & After treatment without a control group. A screening form will be used to assess patients with autism spectrum disorder who exhibit maladaptive behaviors in the outpatient, inpatient, and peripheral centers of NHRIMH Kottayam. After receiving the psychiatrist's clearance and the patient's assent, cases that meet the inclusion and exclusion criteria will be added. Taking 15% dropouts into account, the trial sample size is determined to be 35. Six months of enrolling and a year of follow-up are included in the one and a half-year enrollment and follow-up period. The Baseline Autism Maladaptive Behavior Scale (AMBS) will be used to evaluate the cases. Every 3rdmonthassessments using the Autism Maladaptive Behavior Scale (AMBS) are required. The study's results will be evaluated by comparing the baseline and treatment-end scores. Autism Spectrum Disorder is a complex condition with diverse symptoms that vary significantly across individuals. Maladaptive behaviors, including aggression, temper tantrums and self-injury, are common challenges for children with ASD and can significantly impede their social and educational development. The growing prevalence of ASD and the increasing recognition of its diverse manifestations drive the need for effective, individualized intervention strategies.
