Abstract

The global economic landscape witnessed a dramatic upheaval beginning in 2018, catalyzed by the imposition of punitive tariffs between the United States and China. The U.S., under the Trump administration, initiated tariffs on hundreds of billions of dollars' worth of Chinese goods, citing unfair trade practices, intellectual property theft, and trade imbalances. ? in retaliation, China imposed counter-tariffs, affecting various U.S. exports, particularly agricultural products and automobiles.
