Cybersecurity Framework Implementation and Its Influence on Data Accuracy in the Federal Civil Service Commission
Abstract
This study investigated the role of cybersecurity framework implementation and data centre availability in enhancing digital governance within the Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC). Specifically, it examined the relationship between cybersecurity adoption and data accuracy, and evaluated how data centres improve accessibility to digital public services. A survey research design was applied, using a sample of 400 respondents selected from 615 staff members of the Commission through Taro Yamane?s formula. Data were collected using structured questionnaires and supported with secondary sources such as books, journals, government reports, and policy documents. Analysis was conducted with SPSS version 25, employing descriptive and inferential statistics including Chi-square and regression at a 5% significance level. The findings revealed a significant positive link between cybersecurity framework implementation and data accuracy, as departments with robust practices recorded fewer errors and higher reliability in digital records. Likewise, the availability of data centres was found to significantly improve accessibility to digital public services, though challenges such as unstable power supply and fragmented systems persisted. The study concludes that strengthening cybersecurity and investing in resilient data centres are essential for improving data integrity and public service accessibility in the FCSC.
