Abstract

In state TamilNadu v. Governor of TamilNadu decided by the Supreme Court of India On April 8 , 2025 , the court addressed a constitutional crisis arising from the Governor R.N Ravi Prolonged delays and arbitrary actions on bill passed by the TamilNadu Legislative Assembly between 2020 and 2023. These bills, primarily concerning university Governance reforms were withheld, returned without reason or reserved for the President?s Consideration under Article 200 , Prompting the state to invoke Article 32 for writ relief. The Judgment authored by Justice J.B. Pardiwala spanned 415 pages and Fundamentally recalibrated the Governor?s role in India?s Fedral Structure .
