Abstract

Urban parking management represents one of the most pressing challenges in modern metropolitan areas, with traditional systems failing to provide adequate real-time visibility and centralized management capabilities. This research presents the comprehensive development of an Intelligent Parking Management System that addresses these critical challenges through an innovative full-stack web application architecture. The system implements a sophisticated three-tier architecture utilizing Angular 19 for responsive frontend development, ASP.NET Core 8.0 Web API for robust backend operations, and SQL Server with Entity Framework Core 9.0 for efficient data management. The application serves three distinct user categories - End Users, Parking Owners, and System Administrators - each equipped with specialized functionalities and intuitive dashboards tailored to their specific operational requirements. Key technological features include JWT-based authentication systems, real-time parking availability tracking mechanisms, interactive mapping integration using Leaflet.js, comprehensive booking management workflows, and advanced analytics with detailed revenue tracking capabilities. The system demonstrates modern software engineering excellence through role-based access control implementation, responsive design using PrimeNG components, RESTful API architecture, and progressive web application capabilities. Performance optimization has been achieved through advanced techniques including lazy loading, efficient state management with RxJS observables, and strategic database indexing. Comprehensive testing results demonstrate exceptional performance metrics with sub-300ms API response times, outstanding Lighthouse performance scores of 94/100, and remarkable user satisfaction ratings of 4.6/5.0. The solution successfully reduces parking search time by 65 percent and improves parking space utilization efficiency by 40 percent compared to conventional methods.
