Abstract

In automobiles, safety is considered as a key thing while designing. The vehicle frontal structure has bumper, structural parts, which resist and reduce damage due to vehicle frontal crashes and ensure safety by absorbing the impact. Pneumatics play a major role in the field of automation and actuation control techniques. The aim is to design and fabricate an AUTOMATIC PNEUMATIC BUMPER FOR FOUR WHEELER vehicles system that uses a sensor with a pneumatic operated bumper to avoid car dents and scratches. This system incorporated with an infrared transmitter and receiver circuit, Control Unit, Pneumatic bumper system. The Infrared sensor senses the obstacle, which approaches the vehicle. When there is any obstacle closer to the vehicle, the control signal is given to the electronic circuit which actuates the bumper automatically to absorb the impact and stopping it from coming too close to the vehicle body. This prevents vehicle damage and ensures the safety of the inmates. The automatic pneumatic bumper system offers a smart and proactive approach to vehicle safety and protection. By automating the deployment and retraction of the bumper, it not only improves the aesthetics of the vehicle but also provides practical benefits such as preventing low-speed collisions, enhancing overall vehicle durability.
