Abstract
The proliferation of digital technologies has fundamentally transformed the landscape of intimate partner violence (IPV), creating new mechanisms for perpetrators to exert control, surveillance, and abuse. This review examines the emergence and evolution of technology-facilitated intimate partner violence, exploring its manifestations, gendered dimensions, psychological impacts, and the challenges it poses to victim safety and legal frameworks. Drawing on empirical research and theoretical frameworks, this paper synthesized current knowledge on digital IPV, highlighting the intersection of gender, technology, and violence while identifying critical gaps in research and intervention strategies.
