With a population exceeding one million, Varanasi is a gradually developing urban centre of Uttar Pradesh. The analysis focuses on various factors affecting Varanasi’s urbanization pattern and rate by using secondary data sources. The study’s objective to provide a detailed and relevant analysis of the socio-economic and environmental challenges of Varanasi city.
