Abstract

The Hostel Management System using Biometrics is a modern solution designed to simplify and secure hostel operations in educational institutions. Traditional methods rely on manual record-keeping, which is time-consuming, prone to errors, and vulnerable to misuse. This paper presents a biometric-integrated hostel management system that combines centralized data management with fingerprint and facial recognition to create a unified and secure hostel platform. The system enables real-time tracking of student entry and exit, ensuring enhanced security and accurate record maintenance. By integrating AI-based biometric authentication, the system eliminates unauthorized access and proxy entries. This paper outlines the conceptual framework of the system, along with its advantages, limitations, and future scope.
