This review paper examines the role of Reliability Engineering in minimizing industrial downtime and improving operational performance. The paper discusses key reliability parameters such as MTBF, MTTR, availability, FMEA, Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), preventive maintenance, and predictive maintenance. Furthermore, it analyzes the impact of Industry 4.0 technologies including IoT, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Big Data Analytics, and Digital Twins in enhancing reliability management. The review concludes that organizations adopting reliability engineering practices can significantly improve productivity, reduce maintenance costs, and achieve sustainable industrial growth.
