Abstract

This research focuses on women’s political participation through urban local government institutions in Uttar Pradesh. It highlights the political, economic, and social status of women in the state. Despite numerous efforts over the years, the condition of women in India remains a matter of concern, as significant changes in their socio-political position are yet to be realized.
