The study revealed that delegation of authority is extensively practiced in GTCO Plc and has great positive effect on employee productivity and organisational performance. The study also found that delegation leads to faster decisions, more motivated employees and increased operating efficiency. But they found a lack of trust, fear of managers losing control and communication gaps were factors that affected the effective delegation.
