Abstract

The fact that the static and dynamic characteristics of power electronic DC-to-DC converters become highly nonlinear due to the time variation and switching nature, has led to the implementation of different control techniques in literature to ensure stability in the system operating condition. However, in most system of practical interest, the problem is to minimize the deviation of actual output voltage from desired voltage while maintaining satisfactory transient response and efficient voltage/power transfer. Though in some cases where desired performance has been achieved, integral winding and nonlinearity effect associated with classical controllers have persisted. It is therefore recommended from the reviewed control techniques that multiloop controller will offer with improved transient response performance.
