Abstract

This study examines the impact of server downtime on financial transactions at India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) in Davangere, Karnataka. IPPB offers digital banking services such as UPI, AePS, Direct Benefit Transfers (DBT), and doorstep banking, all of which depend on reliable server systems. Data were collected from 77 IPPB employees through a structured questionnaire. The findings show that frequent server outages delay transactions, increase employee workload, and lead to customer complaints, affecting the overall efficiency of banking operations. The study also highlights the importance of maintaining uninterrupted digital services to ensure customer satisfaction. It concludes that improving server reliability, technical support, and backup systems is essential for ensuring smooth banking operations, better customer service, and long-term operational efficiency.
