The instrument was validated and found reliable with a reliability coefficient of 0.81. Mean and standard deviation were used to answer the research questions, while Simple Linear Regression Analysis and Pearson Product Moment Correlation (PPMC) were employed to test the hypotheses at the 0.05 level of significance. The study revealed that AI-powered writing tools significantly influenced the writing proficiency of secondary school students and that a significant positive relationship existed between the utilization of AI-powered writing tools and students' writing proficiency. Based on the findings and conclusion of the study, it was recommended that students be encouraged to utilize AI-powered writing tools appropriately, teachers should provide adequate guidance on their responsible use, schools should improve access to digital facilities and AI literacy should be integrated into the secondary school curriculum.
