InfraMat: A Web-Based Construction Material Management System for GB Construction
Subject area: Management and Commerce · Area of research: Construction Management
DOI: 10.64388/ire1724867
Abstract
Construction material suppliers handle connected records of materials, stock movements, customer orders, production, vehicles, deliveries, payments and fuel expenses, which are often kept in separate registers. This paper presents InfraMat, a web-based construction material management system developed for GB Construction. The application brings inventory, supplier, customer, order, production, vehicle, delivery, payment and diesel expense records into one system with four user roles: Admin, Manager, Driver and Customer. It is built with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Tailwind CSS on the frontend, Node.js and Express.js on the backend, and SQLite and MySQL as databases. The paper describes the architecture, modules, workflow and the rule-based procedures for stock calculation, order processing, production consumption, vehicle eligibility and payment balance, illustrated with sample calculations, and proposes test cases and an evaluation plan for use with actual business records.
