Design and implementation of an Radio frequency identification Attendance system using PIC Microcontroller data log. The Case of Nigeria

Abstract

In this modern era, great developments on Radio Frequency Identification Techniques has evolved. Its applications are effectively applied to various diverse areas as transportation, agriculture, hospital / health care and other industries. RFID technique facilitates use automatic wireless identification through electronic passive and active tags with suitable readers. This work illustrates asystem which incorporates an application of RFID and wireless database record entries. The proposed system not only eliminates the time consumed in manual attendance but also maintains the record of entries which can be used for statistical purposes like allocation of appropriate attendance score and further administrative tasks.
