Subject area: Science,Engineering and Technology  ·  Area of research: Engineering

Abstract

The oil skimmer robot is an innovative solution designed to address the challenges of oil spill cleanup and water contamination. It leverages modern technology, including the ESP32 microcontroller, Bluetooth HC-05 module, DC motors, pumps, water level sensors, and ultrasonic sensors, to autonomously remove oil from water surfaces. The robot is controlled via an Android-based application, enabling remote operation and real-time monitoring. Its primary functions include oil skimming, water pumping, obstacle detection, and oil-water separation. This system aims to enhance environmental remediation efforts, reduce manual labor, and improve the efficiency of oil spill cleanup operations.
