Abstract

Underserved schools across the United States face chronic barriers in delivering quality education, including limited access to skilled educators, modern resources, and adaptive learning tools. This article explores how artificial intelligence (AI) can bridge these educational gaps by providing scalable, cost-effective, and personalized learning experiences for students in low-income and rural communities. Drawing from current research and practical implementations, the article presents AI-powered solutions such as adaptive learning platforms, automated tutoring, predictive analytics, and intelligent curriculum design. The paper also considers the ethical implications, potential risks, and future outlook of integrating AI in educational ecosystems, emphasizing the need for inclusive, culturally responsive technologies that promote equity in education.
