This study examined the influence of child abuse and Neglects on academic achievement of students in FCT, Abuja: implications for counselling. The study used a descriptive survey research design. The population of the study comprised of secondary school students. A sample size of 150 students was engaged in this study. The study revealed that unwanted touching, child labour, child molestation amongst others were some of the various child abuse and neglects among secondary school students in FCT, Abuja. Poor academic achievement, difficulty in concentration amongst others were some of the influence of child abuse and neglects on academic achievement of students in secondary schools in FCT, Abuja. The study recommended that more efforts should be made by the government at all levels to create workshop for both teachers and students on the physical and psychological influences of child abuse and neglects in order to prevent cases of child abuse and neglects among secondary school students which is a serious educational problem before and even more pronounce now.
