Abstract

Neurodiverse students—including those with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), dyslexia, and other cognitive differences—often face barriers in conventional learning environments that are not designed to accommodate diverse cognitive and sensory needs. This research presents the design and development of an adaptive learning platform specifically tailored to support neurodiverse learners. The platform leverages artificial intelligence (AI) and Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles to personalize instruction based on individual cognitive profiles, learning preferences, processing styles, and engagement levelsKey features include multimodal content delivery (visual, auditory, textual, and interactive formats), adaptive pacing, real-time feedback, and customizable user interfaces to address sensory sensitivities and processing differences. In addition, the platform integrates assistive technologies such as text?to?speech, speech?to?text, and executive function supports, including task segmentation, reminders, and progress tracking tools. An analytics dashboard provides educators and caregivers with actionable insights into student performance and areas requiring intervention.
