Agribusiness education plays a pivotal role in transforming agricultural systems into dynamic, market-oriented, and innovation-driven sectors capable of addressing youth unemployment challenges in Sub-Saharan Africa. Despite the region?s vast agricultural potential, persistent skill gaps, limited access to agribusiness training, and inadequate alignment between educational curricula and market needs hinder the development of sustainable agripreneurial ecosystems. This review examines the intersection of agribusiness education, entrepreneurship development, and youth employment, focusing on how competency-based training and institutional reforms can stimulate inclusive economic growth. It explores models for integrating digital agriculture, value-chain management, and agritech innovations into educational frameworks to equip young people with employable and entrepreneurial skills. The paper also highlights the significance of public-private partnerships, policy interventions, and experiential learning approaches such as incubation hubs and agribusiness accelerators. By aligning educational content with labor market demands, promoting financial literacy, and enhancing youth access to agri-finance, Sub-Saharan Africa can foster a new generation of job creators rather than job seekers. The review concludes with strategic recommendations for stakeholders to scale up agribusiness education as a sustainable pathway toward youth empowerment, rural transformation, and food security in the region.
